Privacy Notice
This notice explains what personal information imiy collects when you use this website or get in touch, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. We are the data controller for the information described below.
Who we are
imiy is a sole trader business owned by Sean Allen, providing neuroinclusion training, consultancy and coaching. If you need to reach us about anything on this page, email info@imiy.co.uk.
What we collect
- When you send a message through the contact form: your name, email address, organisation, role or job title, and the content of your message.
- When you request a free resource: your name, email address, organisation and the resource you asked for.
- When you book a free introductory call: your name, email address, chosen time slot and any notes you add.
- When you subscribe to updates: your email address and (if given) your name.
Basic technical information your browser sends automatically, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, is processed to keep the site secure and working. We do not use this information to identify you.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, where you have asked us to, follow up once about it.
- To send you the resource, booking confirmation or newsletter you have asked for.
- To keep basic records of who we have worked with and the services we have provided.
- To keep the website secure and to fix problems.
Our legal basis
- For replying to enquiries, sending resources you have requested, and confirming bookings: it is in our legitimate interest to respond to people who contact us.
- For the newsletter and any marketing emails: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email.
- For keeping business records (such as invoices): our legal obligation to keep accurate financial records.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the website and send emails on our behalf. They only process your information on our instructions. These currently include our website host and form provider, and our email delivery provider.
We will never sell your personal information. We only share it with a third party if we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
- Enquiry messages: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we go on to work together.
- Booking records: up to 24 months after the session date.
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
- Financial records: for the period required by UK tax law (currently 6 years).
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent for anything you previously agreed to. To exercise any of these rights, email info@imiy.co.uk.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last reviewed. If the changes are significant we will highlight them on the site.
